Darwin Port Operations
Major Event Sponsor - Official Darwin Welcome Reception
SWY Australia is excited to have the support of Darwin Port Operations through their sponsorship to host the Official Darwin Welcome Reception for the participants of the 2019 SWY program. This event will bring together political, business and community leaders in Darwin to welcome and network with the arriving young global leaders. Both SWY Australia and Darwin Port Operations are committed to building the capacity of Northern Australia and its people and through this relationship we are helping bring international attention to Darwin and the opportunities available there.
Darwin Port is operated by Darwin Port Operations Pty Ltd which is part of the Landbridge Group. The Landbridge Group is a large private company based in Rizhao city in Shandong Province in China, operating businesses in China and Australia. The Darwin Port operates commercial wharf facilities at East Arm Wharf and the cruise ship terminal at Fort Hill Wharf.

Australia Delegation Uniform Sponsor
The delegation uniforms are an important part of the SWY program for the participants as it is an opportunity to express and showcase their national identity. SWY Australia is excited to have the support of iconic Northern Australian milliner, Felicity Brown. Felicity is well know for her stunning hats and has shown her designs at New York Fashion week.
For the 2019 Australian SWY delegation, Felicity has designed and handcrafted lapels made from collected feathers of Australian birds. Each one is slightly different and reflects the difference and diversity in the 2019 Australia delegation.

Charles Darwin University
Charles Darwin University (CDU) is working with SWY Australia to provide a series of interactive lecture panels on contemporary topics for the in coming global leaders.
CDU is a new world university built on social justice, sustainability, creativity and collective effort. CDU is a young, vibrant and internationally recognised for teaching and research. CDU has developed a reputation as one of the most innovative teaching and learning and most research-intensive universities in Australia and have risen to the ranks of the top 2 percent of world universities in 2015.
Office of the Chief Minister - NT Government
The Office of the Chief Minister will host the SWY young leaders for a community engagement lunch in the NT Parliament House. This will be an opportunity for young NT people to interact with the SWY participants and for the sharing of knowledge, ideas and culture.
The Department of the Chief Minister plays a vital role in the economic, social and environmental development of the NT to deliver outcomes for all Territorians.
Territory Families - NT Government
Territory Families have provided assistance through the NT Multicultural Grants program. Funds provided to SWY Australia will be used to purchase locally produced goods to showcase NT cultural diversity to the SWY participants
The establishment of Territory Families brings together many of the key functions that work together to create stronger communities where children experience safe, healthy and happy childhoods, women and men from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds have equal opportunities, and senior Territorians are appreciated and respected.
Surf Live Saving Queensland
2019 will be the second time Surf Life Saving Queensland has supported the SWY program. SWY Australia is once again proud to partner with Surf Life Saving Queensland to deliver a morning of fun, physical and educational activities where the young leaders will learn about an important part of Australian culture, learn important safety skills and build their team work and confidence.
Surf Life Saving Queensland is built on a fundamental principle: to save lives.
Surf Life Saving Queensland encompasses several diverse arms – lifesaving services, community education, membership services, surf sports, fundraising and commercial training – but they all contribute to one overarching purpose.
Climate Reality Project Australia
In 2019, SWY Australia is excited to have on board The Climate Reality Project Australia (TRCP). TCRP will run a series of workshops for the SWY participants to educate them on the dangers and impacts of climate change and empower them, through giving them practical action plans on how they can lead action against climate change in their home communities.
The Climate Project (TCP) began in Nashville, Tennessee. As a non-profit organisation, its mission was to increase public awareness of the climate crisis at a grassroots level in the US and abroad. The Climate Reality Project Australia, formed in 2006, ran in partnership with the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) until 2016. Since December 2016, it is hosted by the Melbourne Sustainability Society Institute. It is also the coordinating hub for the Asia-Pacific region.
Australia Japan Association of the NT
The Australia Japan Association of the NT (AJANT) has been a key partner in sharing the success story of the Australian & Japanese relationship. AIANT is a partner in the development of the Past Conflicts - Future Partnerships ceremony on board the Nippon Maru while it is docked in Darwin.
AJANT is a not-for-profit organisation, formed in 1989, who's primary goal is to foster greater understanding and friendship between Australian and Japanese people.

Bringing together some of the largest Saltwater Crocodiles in Australia & boasting the World’s largest display of Australian reptiles, Crocosaurus Cove is a must see attraction when visiting Darwin and the Top End. Crocosaurus Cove has supported the SWY programs visit to Darwin by providing exciting opportunities for the visiting participants to see some of Australia's most amazing wildlife up close! Crocosaurus Cove has also very generously donated a 'Cage of Death' experience for two to be auctioned off during the program to raise money for SWY Australia.
